about 3 years ago I bought a pair of Irish Setter Vapor Trax…...a new lightweight boot that irish setter ( redwing ) had come out with.

Touted as a very lightweight boot, which they were at about a pound a piece, they fit good and were extremely comfortable, but the material they made the soles with were almost like a croc type material and they just did not hold up.

a few weeks ago, after I ordered my Kennetreks, I was online looking at reviews and noticed the number of complaints Redwing had gotten about the vaportrax.

I sent them an email and got a prompt response with a ticket telling me to send them in.

Got a email today that they were not able to re-sole them, but were gonna send me a new pair. These boots are almost 3 years out of warranty

Can't say I was happy with the performance of the boot strictly due to the quick wear on the soles, but i'm pretty darn impressed that they would stand behind their product like that.

Did you buy the Vapor Trax online, or at local retailer?
