I am looking for input on an amazing mule deer hunt. I know there is tons of outfitters and guides out there. Just curious to see who yall recommend?

Needs to be safari style, taking my father on this hunt an he is not as stealthy as he use to be. I have some good places, but not something he can handle anymore.

Tri State Outfitters near Raton, New Mexico. In my opinion, one of the most beautiful places in the world, plains and plateau meeting. I hosted a group of hunters there some years back and all got bucks, all were happy. A 200"+ was shot there while we were in camp. The camp is an old ranch headquarters, the TO, and is really rustic and unique. Great guys, I guided a few antelope hunts with them as well, but I haven't talked with them in years. We hunted safari style, some short stalks, the country is not too terribly rough.

Desert Safaris in the Trans Peco for Texas desert mulies. Had mule deer and antelope hunters with them years ago, they were all happy.

Desert safaris is one of best in TX but not cheap.

NM is any easy draw for a DIY hunt and OTC for private ranch

Aaron Nielsen has some bow openings for South Dakota in 2020 they kill 170-190 deer, alot of really good Mule Deer hunts book several year in advance
Also Kyle Lopez in Colorado I'm hunting with him in SE Colorado this year but I think he has some other Colorado hunts on private that are good if you cant get the landowner tags it helps alot because some areas in colorado are hard to draw. I've huntted Sonora Mexico several times and have a contact their but some people dont like going to Mexico.

You can still put in for NM like BoBo was saying and some units are almost guarenteed 1st year, I've seen some big Mule deer to come out of 16 and it's easy to draw, Gila and Apache outfitters does guiding their.

Safaria is going to be the only way to get him out an about.
