all the financial "experts" today? Market down 1,031.61. What's your SHTF plan if a true pandemic hits our shores?

I'm buying every month automatically whether it's up or down. This can get worth watching, though, if it goes on much longer.

Oxner will be along shortly and let everyone know how he does it.
I am still looking for the perfect apron, one with reinforced knee areas would be perfect.

I’ve got a buddy with a ranch in Menard who has a newly renovated space in his barn im sure he would rent me cheap until the stock crash and Coronavirus blows over
For it is not the quarry that we truly seek, but the adventure.

I’ve always heard “don’t catch falling knives”. Most of mine is in my 401k, and as mentioned above, it continues to buy no matter where the market is. I’m pretty much in for the long haul as I’m only 47 and won’t touch it for at least another 12 years.

Because a Harvard Professor is all knowing. The issue really is that they don't KNOW anything. Yes, it MAY infect 70% of the world's population. Hell, it MAY infect 99%, or it MAY only infect 10%. Hell, we don't really even KNOW how many are currently infected, because you can not trust China.

I don’t have one any more I just dropped a lot of cash buying today and also set a bunch more buys. I’m all in. If the sickness hits I’m heading to my ranch in the panhandle, everyone knows you can’t caught the flu if the wind is blowing.. lol

Experts and scholars are sounding alarms on coronavirus becoming a global pandemic that potentially infects up to 70% of the world, a Harvard public health professor told The Wall Street Journal.
"I think it is likely we'll see a global pandemic," Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health professor Marc Lipsitch told the Journal. "If a pandemic happens, 40% to 70% of people worldwide are likely to be infected in the coming year. "What proportion of those will be symptomatic, I can't give a good number." The estimates are being derived from calculations on the virus' basic reproduction number, and because it is a new virus without previous exposure or a vaccine, anyone can be infected and virus' can spread exponentially from a single person infected, scientists estimate to the Journal.
The 2003 outbreak for SARS (severe acute respiratory syndrome) has been used as a model for estimations, because Covid-19 – the scientific name – and SARS are both considered coronaviruses, according to the report. "Right now, coronavirus is much more of a concern than SARS ever was," Imperial College professor Steven Riley told the Journal. "The main reason is our estimate of the number of people who are currently infectious is higher than the maximum who were ever infectious at one time with SARS." I wonder what he predicted back when SARS was going to kill everyone.

Would suck to catch it, but the survival rate is 99.03 percent in countries with advanced health care. About the same effect as a bad flu virus. Not worth heading into a bunker and living on MRE's.

Tell me I will win the Lottery 99 times out of 100, and I'll give you $1.00 every day to play, Dave. I'm with you; not quite time to stock up on iodine pills and MREs. This whole thing is such a joke. Driving a car is exponentially more hazardous to your health than this media fueled scare-tactic. The volatility and instability that has been triggered in the economic markets as a result of the fear mongering is much more unsettling.
