I'd appreciate a recommendation from someone that has a proven product they like. I'd like these to be worn over a heavier layer. I have a hunt that requires walking in 8-10" of water for long distances. Tall rubber boots work great, and hip waders are too heavy and cumbersome. There is splash that often soaks pants below the knees, and has drained down into my boots. A water proof over pant would be great. Also, the sand is most often wet and damp, even though it appears dry and you get pretty wet laying or sitting in it. A completely waterproof layer would be great. Gaiters worked until it was time to sit, or lay prone.

An unethical shot is one you take, that you know you shouldn't.

Any of your higher end rain pants will work. My advice is make sure they are full zip so that you can vent. Where your gaiters under the the rain pants.

If you want to stay supporting hunting brands, you have Kuiu, Sitka, Stone Glacier, first lite, krptek are all top of the line

The Kuiu gale force pants might fit the bill, adverted as a completely waterproof insulated outer layer. They say they are bombproof. For the price they better be.

Any rain pant that don’t super durable will probably not last long. The storm front from sitka is supposedly a really durable pant as well. I have no experience with any “waterproof” pant tho, so take these with a grain of inexperience.
