I was hunting with a group at High Brass this pass weekend, and they are out of birds.
The $400 combo package includes 3 pheasant 6 chukkar and 10 quail. Our group of
4 got 7 pheasant and 40ish quail. When we went to pay we were offered a $25 discount
since they were short on birds. Just a heads up to fellow hunters, you might want to talk
about the "discount" in advance of hunting so you don't feel ripped off!!

Happy Hunting!

Are you saying they didn't put the birds out, or your group just didn't find all of them?

Shopping with your husband is like hunting with the game warden.
Experience is what you get, when you didn't get what you wanted.

Quail hunting is like walking into, and out of a beautiful painting all day long. Gene Hill

Sorry, I wasn't clear. It's was the last hunt of the year because they were out of birds.
Their Chukkar had gotten some disease and lost their birds. They were short on pheasant
and claimed they had to buy the quail they had. So, our 4 hunters were shorted 5 pheasant,
24 Chukkar and good on quail. There was probably 20 hunters there, and rather than scheduling
fewer knowing they were short on birds, they thought a discount would be fare. Also a member of
my group had gone last year and instead of steaks for dinner the night before, they had beans,
cornbread (I think?) and Vienna Sausages. You can spend the night for $75 and it includes dinner.

Hopefully I was more clear this time??

Hate to hear that. I met them at TTH in Fort Worth and they seemed like good folks. I was planning to give them a try. Hopefully they will get their bird situation straightened out and be a little more up front with their hunters.

I’ve known several people from Hugo, OK. They were all idiots.
