I have an AR10 and recently bought a nightforce ATACR 5-25x56mm. I would like a QD Mount as I would like to eventually swap out scope with a thermal rig. What would the forum recommend?

BoBro Engineering all the way! I bought a compact dual lever low from them to use with the a Sig Sauer Whiskey 5 3-15x44 with 30mm tube or a Leupold VX5HD 3-15x44 with 30mm tube. Only problem was the size of the parallax adjustment and windage adjustments on these scopes is the rings sat too low on the mount itself. I contacted them about either removing about .030 inches off a lip on the mount or exchanging it for a different mount. The offered to replaced the rings with a slightly taller rings to allow for clearance on the knobs free of charge. I was pleasantly surprised that they responded to my e-mail on the same day and by the end of the day the I had dropped the mount off at the post office. I should have to the mount back next Saturday.

I've been using BoBro engineering quick release mount on both my Armasight Zeus 3-24x75mm thermals for almost 5 years. They have never failed me yet! I also have been the extended mount for AR's for over 6 years a Nikon M223 3-12x42 with 1 inch tube. That set-up gets moved around on so many AR's that I'm surprised it hasn't failed. (It's my test scope) However when I installed it back on the AR I have it zeroed and put the numbers back it's always been with a 1/4 inch of zero.

I would suggest the following:
Spuhr Hunting Mount

Your optic is big (nice choice btw!) so you're going to need something solid. There is no doubt some of the QD options already mentioned will do the trick. In my opinion there's just no need to go with the extra complexity and weight associated with all that. It's extra parts, and everything mechanical has the option of breaking. Less is more. If you get a quality unimount and torque it the same every time the zero will be very repeatable. Just get a Wheeler Fat Wrench, or a torque limiter from Fix It Sticks, etc. and keep it in your bag.
