I’ve been planning on getting my Taurus g2c cut for an optic, but I think I’ve decided that as much as I like it, I don’t want to sink several hundred dollars into a $189 pistol. So I’m looking for a midsized carry gun that comes pre-cut for optics. I know about the 365XL, glock 19mos, and hellcat. There have to be more options out there. I’m not opposed to buying a nice used midsize carry gun and having the slide milled, but it would be convenient if I can buy one ready to go.

Not sure I would put an optic on a carry gun. That is a pretty big thing sticking above the slide to get caught during the draw. Also, it is something else that can fail at the worst time. You can't really co-witness open sights on a handgun like you can on an AR.

Just buy the sig, hellcat, or glock pre milled. By the time you buy a used gun and have it milled you will be in the same money, and you will be stuck with one type of optic

Carry optics have gotten to be very small and very popular, and most cowitness with suppressor sights.

True. And I’m not opposed to any of those options.

I think CZ makes the P10c milled. Also the canik TP9 Elite SC comes MOS style

I forgot about the Canik. Been looking for an excuse to try one out for a while.

I think you'll be hard pressed to find a better optics ready weapon within this price range. Add it to your cart and it is $630. Search around and you can get it out-of-state shipped and likely save taxes.

Let me know if you'd like to know more about them. I've got over 1k rounds through a combat and about 500 rounds through an elite. I have the HE507-GR on the Elite. I've only carried it a few times, but it's okay. I carry a combat daily.

Look at the Sig P320 X Compact. Sweet shooter, 15 round mags, and accepts the new Sig Romeo (if you can find one) and the Leupold that is available.

It's not what you say, or think, that counts. It is what you DO!

I think I’ve made up mind on the FN 509 M MRD. Got to handle one at the LGS today, and can find it for about $200 less than the Glock MOS. I liked the Canik as well, but FNs reputation is worth the extra $100 to me.

If you are inclined to use an optic, Sig is promoting the 365XL and Romeo One, which appeared to have a back up sight. I have not handled that set up, but it does have my slight interest.

i think they are doing the XL and the Romeo zero, which is the micro dot, and it has pretty questionable early reviews. not sure i like the idea of a plastic sight body. Pretty dead set on the FN 509 Midsize and the Holosun 508T
