Went to the grand opening of Goldee's BBQ on the Fort Worth/Kennedale border and it's freaking fantastic. Owners are former Franklin, 2M and Micklethwait employees. The brisket is Franklin good and the Turkey and sausage (made in house) is also fantastic,. Sadly didn't get any ribs as they sold out. Fort Worth is easily the BBQ Capital of North Texas now.

To each their own but the quality is leaps and bounds better than Jambos (didn't they go out of business) or Railhead. That's like comparing the steak prices at Golden Corral to Del Friscos.

Couldn't agree more when it comes to price of brisket, you are paying for the quality of the meat.

The original Jambo's in Rendon has new owners and is not connected with the Arlington locations in any way. I have eat at a lot of good BBQ places and i put the Rendon location right at top of my list

I'll have to try Goldee's. I do think Railhead has the best ribs and coldest beer. Their brisket is a tad dry for me. I don't mind paying the price as long as I get what I pay for.
