Must say, I have been blessed the last couple of years. It took me 53 years to finally bust the 150" mark, then I do it two years in a row. Before anybody ask, the first buck was a high fence hunt from last year. Hunted this one deer for 3 days before locating him. By no means was it "easy". cool He scored 196 1/8. The second buck was taken this year on the final weekend of the season on a low fence property. This deer had never been seen before that afternoon. He scored 167 2/8. Trying to figure out how I can hide the taxidermy expense from my wife. confused2 Should I quit while I'm ahead?

Congrats. I like the 2nd low fence buck better. Just something about that anticipation feeling of seeing a really nice deer that had not been seen on trailcams or by anyone before... and on the last day of the season to boot!

I completely agree. It is more satisfying for sure! We had pictures of several nice bucks but could never track them down. When I saw this one, my mental photo album was on overload trying to remember all the pics. Verified later that he wasn't on any of the cameras. shocked

Congratulations on the high scoring bucks!
Same with me, I was also mid-fifties for my first 155+ low fence buck.
The more mature the hunter, the sweeter the trophy!
