Did anyone else watch it? The wife and I thoroughly enjoyed it. As for me, he made me wish I had paid more attention in American History class when I was in high school.

I've been catching parts of the series about John Adams on HBO. What I have seen has been pretty good

If that's the same series in which Paul Giamatti plays the role of John Adams that came out several years ago, the wife and I enjoyed it so much we purchased the boxed set of CD's. If it's not the same, I would recommend the earlier series as well.

I watched it and thought it was good, some of the things he did to save the country/republic I didn’t know and might not agree with. However, if he didn’t do it the country most likely would not have survived.

The show on Adams with Paul Giamatti was quite good as well. How Adams and Jefferson were very good friends and then had a falling out and both died on July 4th of the same year within hours of each other’s.

I am reading a book about John Marshall the first Supreme Court Justice which is very good. It is very interesting to see how intertwined the founding families were. John Marshall’s cousin was Thomas Jefferson and he was the only person Marshall truly hated. I also had no idea until recently that General Robert E Lee’s father was a signer of the Declaration of Independence.

Our founding fathers may have been politicians but they really stood for something.

I watched the first two but was at my grandsons College baseball game last night so I have it recorded. I'll watch it later today or this evening.
I'm looking forward to the Grant series as well.
