NSTRA broke is the minimum level of broke a dog could possibly be.
Levels of steadiness:
Steady to...
1. Displaced bird - handler pressures bird to move from original location - does not have to fly. This is the NSTRA standard of broke.
2. Wing/flight
3. Shot - AKC Senior Hunter Level
4. Release - AKC Master Hunter Level/AKC and American Field Trial standard of broke
Personal standard but I don’t consider a dog broke until it is steady to release. That’s the level of training I put on all finished dogs. This dog would do fine in NSTRA.

Small female. Good temperament and nose. Short to medium range. Would make a good family
And hunting dog but would not make a good horseback field trial dog. Price is more than fair. It’s less than a break even for me. She needs to go to a good home.

Hi,
I am interesting in the dog, Dixie. My family and I would like to get some more information. Is she spayed? Why are you getting rid of her? Does she get along with other dogs?

Chris,
Training and selling Dixie has been the plan. I have used her some on guided hunts, but have more than enough dogs between client dogs and personal dogs. She is intact. Gets along with other dog.

Tony, does she retrieve?
Can you tell me what you consider short to medium range?
I walk and ride...just curious if she could do both or if she is pretty much walk only.

Sold pending trial period.
Short ranging - stays within shotgun range ~0-50 yards
Medium - 1-2 shotgun range ~ 50-100 yards
Big - 2+ range
Based on what I have seen she will not make a competitive field trial dog, but will work off atv or horse,
I’ll update on status next week.
