my wife takes comforters, rugs, dog blankets, etc. to one near her office ... I've been there a couple of times and it's probably one of the fanciest I have ever been in, WiFi, TV, all machines are operated via credit card ... the old style were pretty low class to me ...

We have 3 new ones in town, owned by the same family, new equipment and buildings, you can drop off your dirty laundry and pick it up clean and folded, or you use the washers and dryers. and do it yourself They are close to other laundromats but theirs is always the busiest.

It depends on how far south you are in TX. When I lived in El Pothole I could drop of my clothes in the morning and pick them up after work neatly folded and or put on hangers. Not talking dry cleaners here, just everything else. Come to think of it I rarely needed dry cleaners. They could go by any of those three names. Don't get on Oxner because that sort of thing happened to him without pre-arrangement. Those Gal's do clothes!

Yeah they had just built that place in 98 when I was leaving. It’s down the street from the place I was talking about. They saw the scrub pub was always packed so they came in to redefine the wheel and make one better. I went there once but it wasn’t the same laid back vibe.

What they need is a driving range/laundry mat/sports bar. Hit some balls, have a beer, and watch the game while your laundry spins. Quick...Someone put together a business plan!

Dry cleaners and laundromats paid for my upbringing. The change in the big lint traps behind the front load W/D’s paid for the Midway at the State Fair when Papa took us and I spent countless hours diagnosing, repairing the correct way on those same machines. From industrial W/D’s, mostly Speed Queens, to boilers, air compressors to old steam presses with the old skool leather piston cups to air actuated/automated Sankosha shirt machines. Anything and everything in between.

Ethnic my arse. It was the old skill of doing it right before the .99 people took over. Just sayin
