Kill em. They killed 3 small pigs last fall, I have no need for stray dogs. If they are harassing live stock they will be dealt with.
Hate to be so forward but that's my solution.

Sheridan air rifle, as I mentioned. Start at 5 pumps. Dog will then need money spent on it to have the pellet removed.

If someone had a shoot out with the police, I'd consider all options before shooting their dog. I've seen John Wick

Hmmmm, good point. John Wick. Refer to my last comment on the pump air rifle and 5 pumps, and revise it to 3 or 4 pumps. Sting but don’t penetrate the mutt.

Or most neighbors just might take care of the problems their dogs are causing without any fanfare.

Live trap and relocate

I wouldn’t mention winging them or shooting them

Yep. Don’t show your hand. If the neighbors were worth talking to, them they wouldn’t be turds to begin with by letting their mongrels run roughshod.

I bet the sheriff won’t back that when accusations are made.

Most likely it was a Deputy, he really doesn't have that authority. With some exceptions the penal code for shooting someones dog requires the owner's permission.

You already messed up by putting anything on here. I learned many years ago do what you have to do and keep it quiet.

Yep. We don't have voted in Animal Control officers with nets and catch sticks out here.

My main issue is with the people that cause the problem though.

Ol' man Hill used to have a pump sprayer with water and Clorox in it. When aimed at the eyes, very effective.

If the dog happens to mysteriously disappear, make sure to cut off the collar & tags and otherwise dispose of them.
