My knee still gives me aches and pains but no where near what it was before the surgery...

Yeah that is normal bigbob. Had surgery on both knees ten years ago and unfortunately it helped one of them but I fell actually made the other one worse for me. I can scratch the left side of my knee and I fell it on the right side with a tingling sensation. The pain will go away though at the repair sight

Take it easy on "The Pain Meds" don't get carried away.... I think that was part of the problem. I didn't take any after the 3rd day. I started taking them again and it feels much better and I can get around on it well. ps, 3 aleve and 1 tylonal is as good as the crap they gave me.

Only pain I have is arthritis. Use Celebrex for that.

I used Tylenol after the 2nd day, any opioid knocks me smooth out. Soreness/Tenderness is pretty normal for a week to 10 days, it's just a reaction from the trauma caused by the surgery.

Had mine repaired about 2 1/2 weeks ago. is it normal to still have pain at the repair sight? I'm walking ok but still taking pain meds. My grandmother had the same problem with both knees. Two total replacements She said it was painful for just over 2 weeks.

I have several areas of pain. Torn miniscus, snapped acl off femur, fractured tibulia, on knee. Removed AC joint in right shoulder, herniated disk in mid back (T7-T8), I live in pain constantly. I get pain meds regularly to help.
Norcor, less Tylenol. Hydrocodine 10/325 Works for me.
Sometimes the pain is so intense cannot do anything but lay on floor for 45 minutes at a time for relief. But hey these are the cards I got delt.

Were you laid up before the surgery? I tore my meniscus and my knee was still hurting after the surgery. Turns out, while I was laid up I developed a blood clot, and it eventually broke off. Back to the hospital I went! While in the ER, the guy on the gurney next to me went code blue. Fun times

Yes, perfectly normal. My repair had me hurting for well over a month and it took me nearly two before I felt “normal”. Everyone heals at a different rate. I’m one that heals slower. If it still hurts after a month call the doc otherwise rest, ice and medicate. If you saw what they did to your knee you wouldn’t be surprised why it hurt!

After mine I just took Ibuprofen for swelling but got on my bicycle after a couple days and rode around everyday and w/in a week or so I was rolling good and no pain after that just tender to touch. I think the more you walk/exercise the better while healing.
