Anyone hunt around Lake Texana in Jackson County? Wondering about lease prices and quality in that area. Thanks.

Yes, I hunted at the jackson and lavaca county where the two meet. The deer were kinda small but the horns were great and deer density was good.

Thanks guys. Just got a new lease in the area with a couple friends, so we should be able to have some fun. Deer and hogs sounds like a perfect sausage combination!

I live less than 5 miles from the west Jackson county line. As stated there are plenty of deer and hogs. Also lots of coyotes and bobcats. We continually see foxes at our property also. For a while my son owned 10 acres in Jackson county and we once saw seven small foxes together.

I was born in Georgia, and raised up down South. Lived in Texas for a few years too. I am used to looking where I put my hands and feet, but I still prefer hunting below 50 degrees instead of above!!!
