Netflix. My dad, as a child, knew Frank Hamer. He had all the bushes cut down on his Austin property and he slept on the front porch (with a saw'd off shotgun) 'cause of all the bad seed he'd put away. He had a son die storming Iwo Jima. He was the real deal.

So here’s a cool story...when Clyde was a child he lived down the street from my Grandfather and stole some tools out of my Great Grandfathers garage. He was a young boy probably around 10 yrs old. They lived in Eureka, TX south east of Corsicana. Now Clyde didn’t know, but my Great Grandfathers initials were engraved on the tools he stole, and my Grandfather said you could hear Clyde screaming as he was getting his arse whooped after they went down and got their tools back. Obviously, he wasn’t whooped hard enough and never learned his lesson. When he was older, he ate in my families restaurant down there many times. I remember my Grandfather telling me that story when I was a kid and explaining how and why you always engrave your initials on your tools.

This. The trash got what they deserved, no matter how much hollywood tried to glorify them.
