At $200 per year per car, it adds up, but I cant live without it.

Rant over.
One upper potential.

my commuter car had it for free the first 2 years, my wife's Traverse had it for free first 3 months ... we didn't renew on either. If i was on the road a lot, where there wasn't any reception, I might change my mind.

Ive got it and never use it but the Queen does. The price is very negotiable. Let them turn it off and they will call you in about two weeks. They will offer you a lower rate and the negations begin.

I bought my first lifetime subscription in ‘99 on a portable radio. Since then I’ve upgraded that portable and transferred my lifetime subscription to the new radio. That works out to $600 for 21 years of SiriusXM. Pretty cheap. I bought the Superduty 8 years ago and bought another lifetime subscription for it. Eight years for $600. Cheap.

Y’all need to think long term.

If you are paying more than $5-$10 a month for it, you are getting robbed. Just call them and tell them you want to cancel because it costs too much. They will immediately drop the price to about $10 a month without batting an eye. If you want to haggle a little more, getting them down to the $5-$7 a month range isn't very difficult. The total amount of time on the phone won't be more than 10 or 15 minutes. Most likely you'll end up on a 6 month subscription. Once you get down to a discounted rate, they will almost always keep you there as long as you call back and tell them you aren't going to pay full price. If you forget to call in before your subscription ends and it auto-renews at the full price, call them and tell them it costs too much and you want to cancel. They will drop the rate and refund you the difference. I've been doing this dance with them for the past six years and have never paid more than $12 a month (back when they charged extra for the streaming add-on). Now I'm usually somewhere around $8 a month.

Also, now that Internet streaming is included in almost all the packages, there is really no reason to pay for multiple cars (unless you can't get cell service somewhere or you really like your car radios). We have the service in my truck and we use their iPhone app to stream the service in our other cars.

Just resigned with them this a.m. for my wife's car and my truck. Paid 77.00 each for one year.
He had sirius since they first started. I tell the customer support I am going to cancel due to Amazon/Alexa in my ford and can listen to whatever I want just by asking the Alexa app.

They really come down on price then.

I do the same thing. I pay $60 a year.

I have a slimmed down package and think i pay around $125 a year for it. The port in my radio that the am/fm antenna attaches is bad. The only thing that works on the radio is my Sirius XM.

Same here. Have it in my wifes suv and I think she pays 60 something a year. She will renew it the end of this month before it auto renews early in March. She just tells them that's all she can afford.

I don’t think they offer new lifetime subs unless you already have one.
