How many of you guys are like me and put off getting hearing aids? For whatever the reason may be I’d say stop waiting. I had abused my hearing from shooting guns without hearing protection when I was young. These things are game changers! Walking in the woods is a whole new ballgame. I can’t believe I put it off, they are expensive no doubt but we’ll worth the money. Being an avid outdoorsman, I never knew how much I was missing. It will be a big help while bow hunting. I have no affiliation with any hearing aid sales, I’m just Ecstatic about my new found hearing abilities. Not one of my friends have noticed which is huge! Go get checked, sams does free hearing tests, you may be surprised, I was.

I hear my tinnitus just fine.

My mom got them just over a year ago and it was a game changer for her as well. She was always saying... huh? What’s that? She loves them!

My left ear is jacked and only works about half as good as my right. I’m 46 now and have no doubt I will need them.

Glad you are hearing like a kid again!

I got my first hearing aids about 35 years ago, my last set of hearing aids I got last year. 3 sets in between, every set has been a major improvement. I start the day with putting on my glasses and filling my ears and turning on the Bluetooth. No idea on the cost, these are furnished by the VA.

The Bluetooth is the coolest part, answer my phone, listen to videos and sports talk radio. I was totally against getting them, I was wrong. Bought them at Sam’s with loss Replacement for $2700

We were given hearing tests in the third grade. The tester told me to push the button when I heard the tone. I heard nothing. He told me again, same thing. The teacher and him had a chat, then the teacher told me again for the third time. Same thing, I heard nothing.

They gave me a note to take home. Next day mom went to school with me and met with the teacher. Years later, I found out that the note said I was retarded because I couldn’t follow simple instructions.

True story!

I’ve needed hearing aids all my life I guess. I had to cheat on the hearing test to pass my USN physical.

Shotguns for many years without protection has done my ears in. The funny thing about my hearing is I can understand most men but women with high pitched voices is no Bueno.

my MIL hearing (90+ y/o) had gotten pretty bad to a point my wife too her to have her checked out. The Dr. agreed and told my wife that join Costco and sign my MIL up as the 2nd on the account as they had by far the best for the cost available. My MIL threw a fit at the cost and refused to get any ...

Does anything help with tinnitus? I need them. Too much shooting in the younger years without protection. Good to know about the Costco thing. Thanks Stub.

I've had very loud Tinnitus for over ten years. I've talked to a number of people with Tinnitus over these years about hearing aids. If I were to summarize all the discussions, it sounds like if your Tinnitus is mild, along with hearing loss, that you may like hearing aids. Everyone I've talked to that has very loud Tinnitus, and tried hearing aids, said that it traps the loud ringing and makes it worse.

I cannot describe how loud mine is. If you don't have it, don't shoot anything without hearing protection. I too have shot thousands of rounds of shotgun rounds with no protection. I'm paying for it.

I'm lucky that our insurance pays for a pretty high tech hearing test annually at this place in Plano. The doc always shows me a graph. My low tone hearing has about leveled off at not deaf, unless you ask my wife. smile The high pitch hearing is still barely deteriorating a little each year. However, that part has been bad all along.

Yes I have them. Got mine at Costco. Phonax is what I got. Around 2800.00 total.
