I've been reading that Nikon is getting out of the scope business. NOT going out of business, just no more scopes - but they will continue to honor warranties. I've never owned a Nikon scope, but it seems a lot of shooters are happy with them. I assume we'll start to see a sell off of Nikon scope inventories with some deep discounts. Those that know Nikon scopes, what models should I be on the look out for to get a bargain?
When it comes to shooting, I guess I'm always looking for a bargain.

They've been having huge sell-offs for over a month. Midway has been dumping them at 40-50% off MSRP, some less, some more. I don't think there are any specific models to look for; if you have a need and a budget, go see what's available in your price-range.

I just bought one of these for my wife's 17hmr. She has shot it once and obviously 17hmr is no kick but she/we like it so far. I even hate saying it because I'm considering getting another one. https://www.eurooptic.com/Nikon-M-TACTICAL-Riflescope-3-12X42SF-Matte-MK1-MRAD-16520.aspxI've owned 3 nikon scopes prior to this; a 3-9 prostaff, 4.5-14 buckmaster and 6-24 monarch. All older models and they been alright so far, meaning they hold zero well and i thought clarity was go for each price point. This particular model I really like at $200, especially the re-zeroing function. the tracking is truly enough, not precise to a fly's rear-end vs measured subtension at 100 yards.
I'm a dude who likes long barrels!

EuroOptic has had some nice prices on a lot of good scopes lately. I've seen more than just Nikon marked %50 off.

Are the Nikon's going to be supported for repair and maintenance?
