Anyone use one? I drive quite a bit and have read reviews on the nextbase 522gw, and it looks good.

Any other Recommendations?

I keep meaning to buy one also. Anker & Aukey keep coming up. It really depends on what features are important to you.

following as well.

Had an accident a couple months ago, 100% the other drivers fault. I jumped out and got good pics immediately.... pulled off she didnt want police--I wanted to wait and got her to write a note admitting fault.

Clear cut but the story started changing 30 mins later when I heard from her insurance. Ended up covering but without the above I was likely SOL. Think a dashcam would help with these type of situations.

I need one, I just haven’t done it yet. One of the guys that works for us recorded a guy breaking into his pickup. He got the door opener and opens his garage and he had a camera in there that recorded the guy again. The guy got scared and left with out taking anything. San Antonio police shrugged it off as a normal Tuesday night and went on their way.

My uncles have them in their vehicles for this very reason....

Bought a
Roav A1 and a C1.

Also bought a Aukey DRS2, has two separate cameras. Which I will face one to the front and the other facing inside the cab.

All three units have motion detection recording. I am wanting instant upload by in case they take the camera while parked. I do not believe the Aukey has that like the Roav's do.

I'd say one facing in the cab could potentially work against you as much as for you.

I want to mainly use it while being parked in hotel parking lots.

Note: I am sure this is sort of jab at me, but I regress.

rofl Not a jab at all. rofl You're paranoid wink

Example - I stop at a drivethru and grab something to eat....pick up the burger or drink and someone hits me. Some puke attny out there will twist that to say had I been paying attention and not eating then I couldn't stopped and prevented the DA from running into me...therefore, it has to be my fault rolleyes

Watching this thread....getting a couple soon. Was in a fender bender riding in a buddy's truck just a few days ago. Crossing a 4-way the opposing driver just desides to turn left and plants their headlight into the drivers' side corner of his cow catcher front end. They jump out raising seven kinds of hell until my buddy says, "Ain't no damage to my truck, and I have the whole thing on dash-cam if you want to see it.". Their demeanor changed like flipping a light switch.

I do not like the Aukey DRS2. Have no use for the rear view camera. Might be good for Uber, though. Also the Roav has an app to view the videos, the Aukey DRS2 does not. You have to pull the card, load in computer or other device to watch the videos. You can view them on the device itself, though. The Aukey needs to be hard wired to have the parking "bump" feature work as well and left in all the time. The Roav will wake up, hard wired or its own battery if needed(not hot wired).

The A1 by Roav seems to be the one so far so I will run this for awhile (3 days), then run the C1 by Roav to figure out what works for me. I do like the C1's sleek design better. Otherwise seems to be the same camera.

Anyone want a deal on a 10 minute used Aukey DRS2. grin

C1 is on left. A1 is on right.
I will look at videos, need some night time shots to decide. I do like the C1's low profile now.
