Thinking about the 155 gr in my 308's and 139 in my 6.5 prc.

The one guy that kills “ a lot “ of big animals uses 155 without much problem

I only have personally seen one doe with the 155 in an AR10 but it was impressive both in shock and exit wound...it was a boiler room shot with no bone.

I wish they made a lighter 7mm bullet because I’d run it in my 7-08ai.

My buck from this year taken with a 139 Scenar from a T3X 6.5CM at 175 yds. Quartering away, there was a dime sized entrance and quarter sized exit. Very impressed with the bullet performance, and it is a supremely accurate bullet as well.

I’ve used them in the creedmoor and have no complaints. Copper Creek ammo loads then for the PRC also, they are supper quick in turn around

I've shot hundreds of animals with them from the 6mm version up to the 180gr 7mms and 30 cal 155s. Varmints up to elk and a few "non dangerous" African culls...…

They are my go to hunting bullet.

A friend up north has killed a ton of critters with them and has nothing but great things to say about the performance.

I know there is such a thing as not enough twist, but is there such a thing as too much twist? Specifically, I have a 1-10 and always wondered if it was such a thing. I like this bullet.

Too much twist plus too much velocity can equal high rpm which can cause jacket failure.

I can believe that so follow up questions:
1. is that really the only danger/concern/risk of shooting a lighter bullet through a fast twist barrel? Meaning if the jacket holds up then accuracy/stability of the bullet is not an issue.
2. Is this something that is commonly seen with Scenar bullets? I assume there have been others specifically shooting the 155gr 308 bullet out of a faster twist barrel.

From what I've read, they are a little stouter than Bergers and Eld's.....so I wouldn't worry about jacket failure on the Scenars. Maybe at warp speed, but lot's of people are using the 155's in 300 win/wsm without issues. I want them for my 308's/30-06.
