I've been using my fathers Gamma Master for a few years now and i think its about time I buy my own. does anyone have any suggestions on a chronograph.

I keep paper and digital records of all my average velocities, Standard of deviation, and extreme spreads in excel spreadsheet format and staple the printout to the targets.

looking for something simple to setup so I don't have to waste a bunch of time at the range here in Dallas, don't want to sacrifice consistency or ability to store data without breaking the bank.

I use the Lab Radar. It's spot on. The Magneto also is a good one, and has registered the same exact velocity as the Lab Radar when we have put them side by side.

Thank you, I'll be doing some serious research on the Magnetospeed and LabRadar to see which one will fit my needs best.

Magneto speed v3 is my go to. Labradar are great if you get a good one and if you don't shoot at a public range.

I like my manetospeed. It was a big seller for me that I didn't have to put anything down range and could easily set it up and use on public ranges etc. I haven't experienced any negatives yet.

Magneto Speed. Much more consistent than the ProChrono I was using.

Probably depends where are you shooting? If it's a public range I would recommend Magneto Speed or Lab Radar... harder to work with Prochrono type and similar devices in a public range. You will have to wait for ceasefire and then wait for next ceasefire if you didn't correctly set it up... Then, some won't like direct sun light and so on.. lots of variables to consider...

Well to say that I am happy with the Magnetospeed would be an understatement, tested and compared to Dad's Gamma Master. moved back to the 100yard Bench and was able to set multiple targets and shoot multiple strings without walking after every single string to change targets. very consistent and easy to use, the data logging features are phenomenal and is quite easy to move from one rifle to the next. Overall very happy with the Magnetospeed and will be proudly recommending the product. Thank you all for your advice and direction.
