Anyone have one on of these Primary Arms 1-6 or 1-8? Seem to get pretty good reviews considering the price.

I won a Primary Arms Platinum 1-8 FFP, mil/mil at a shooting match. I have it on my 16" 308 bolt gun now. I like it a lot. I prefer a lower magnification scope for hunting, and this scope works great for my use. It's a 35mm tube, which I had to buy s anew set of rings specific to that scope.

I bought the 1x6 for my 6.8 SPC AR15. I like it so far. Easy to find the target with the reticle.

The reticle interests me. How do the hold overs work with 6.8 SPC?

I have the PA 1-6x ACSS Predator-- I'm a big fan of the scope for the price-- it is a clean reticle with green or red illumination and I prefer the circle/dot style BDC of the Predator.

It wasn't perfectly calibrated to the 73gr ELDM superformance match that I was running so I used the tops and bottoms of the circles as my 'stadia' and shot it out to 400 to determine my exact holds.

The Platinum like Chad has is made in Japan. It's a $1300 Scope with exposed turrets. The one I'm looking at is $389 made in China. My understanding is that even the cheaper ones are pretty decent and hold zero. It has a good reticle for 5.56 so I just need it to hold zero. It's not one you dial.
