Pretty interesting what the government is capable of

I've seen it. I agree with the one guy that was middle of the roadish on it. The one guy straight up got murdered though.

I saw it a while back and what the Federal Government (BLM) was doing to the Hammond’s was crap. They won one case against the BLM about a fence if I remember correctly but couldn’t get them to remove the fence and if they removed it they were tampering with Federal property and could/would be charged. The judge is as even frustrated with what the government was doing but could do anything about it. The arson charges against them was crap and then some of the things the Feds did in the court case was really outrageous and that judge wasn’t happy with the prosecution. I’m glad that Trump pardoned the Hammond’s and I think what happened to LaVoy was sad and uncalled for.

Sanctioned murder by the federal government.

I watched the first few minutes and stopped because I knew the wife would be interested in watching it. From what I saw it looks pretty damn interesting.

If the BLM treatment of the Hammons wasn't enough, the taking of Lavoy Finecum's life has to be considered over the top. How does this happen?

I watched this on my phone while I was doing some stuff this afternoon. Brought back some memories.I have dealt with the BLM guys while gold mining the deserts of California, you talk about a jacked up operation. I actually had the guy sneak out the back door and jump the chainlink fence in the parking lot at the BLM office and run to his truck to avoid me. He refused to sign off on our gold claims...no reason just one hassle after another. Could tell stories of these guys, very irritating to say the least. It is our land and they do everything in their power and above their power to keep you from using it.

LAW & JUSTICE Issued on: July 10, 2018


Today, President Donald J. Trump signed Executive Grants of Clemency (Full Pardons) for Dwight Lincoln Hammond, Jr., and his son, Steven Hammond. The Hammonds are multi-generation cattle ranchers in Oregon imprisoned in connection with a fire that leaked onto a small portion of neighboring public grazing land. The evidence at trial regarding the Hammonds’ responsibility for the fire was conflicting, and the jury acquitted them on most of the charges.

At the Hammonds’ original sentencing, the judge noted that they are respected in the community and that imposing the mandatory minimum, 5-year prison sentence would “shock the conscience” and be “grossly disproportionate to the severity” of their conduct. As a result, the judge imposed significantly lesser sentences. The previous administration, however, filed an overzealous appeal that resulted in the Hammonds being sentenced to five years in prison. This was unjust.

Dwight Hammond is now 76 years old and has served approximately three years in prison. Steven Hammond is 49 and has served approximately four years in prison. They have also paid $400,000 to the United States to settle a related civil suit. The Hammonds are devoted family men, respected contributors to their local community, and have widespread support from their neighbors, local law enforcement, and farmers and ranchers across the West. Justice is overdue for Dwight and Steven Hammond, both of whom are entirely deserving of these Grants of Executive Clemency.

Have to tell a quick story. Met this guy in the Missouri Breaks of Montana living off the land in the middle of nowhere. Had him drive my truck to the top of the mountain area and drop me off so I could hunt my way back. Anyways, long story short...he was the original man from the "Freeman" group I think they were called.
He had a multi-million dollar logging operation in upstate N.Y. and the beavers dammed up his place and he blew up their dams like always....but, recently a woman was hired to oversee the fed regs in the area and she filed charges against him saying he could not harm the beavers. After years of court battles, he lost everything thing and said *@# you gov't and went out west to live off the grid, they had taken everything from him and they followed him out there and it turned into a big deal fighting the feds. Anyways, he was a great guy and they ended up leaving him alone and allowed him to own only 1 gun so he could survive out there with his wife. They would pick Juniper berries and sell them.
