Who does barrel threading around Lewisville, Denton area?

Funny thing about getting older:
Your eyesight starts getting weaker but your ability to
see through people's BS gets much better.

S&S precision is definitely one of the best the metroplex. A lot of places barrel thread just not very well.

Barrel Threading

Begins and ends here.....take 40 minutes and drive over to Morgan. He's done 3 barrels for me and about to get 2 more.

I know nothing of S&S, so I can not comment on them. Morgan has done some work for me, and He will get all my work form now on. Did good work and did it quickly.

I removed my barreled action from the stock and took it to Morgan just as a barreled action. He threaded it like that.

Yessir I have 3.2 inch spindle bore industrial universal gear box lathes, not the typical little chinese 12x36 alot of people use.

I haven't had to pull a barrel in years.

Another +1 for Morgan.

He's done several for me, and always first rate work at reasonable cost and a quick turn around.

Having a larger opening is nice, but the important part is how you indicate the barrel. If you single or dual point indicate the barrel for straightness in the lathe is the key before barrel threading. If the barrel is straight in the lathe, then the threading will be straight. Do you single or dual indicate the barrel? The barrel that I had, the threading was so far off from straight that I had baffle strikes on my can. When my gun smith put it on his lathe, it pegged the needles for being out of round. So, mine was way off. Most smith's who use a Grizzy will need to pull the barrel off when you get the barrel shorter and on a larger action, like a Rem 700. But the important part is how you indicate the barrel. If you don't take the time to dual indicate the barrel, it can cause the threading to be off.

Yessir I dual indicate it with PTG rods.

If I didn't do it right I wouldn't have around a 99.99 percent positve feedback record with around 25k barrels now. Full time almost 8 years.

I stand behind my work so if a mistake does makes it way out I will take care of it for sure.

Every company in every industry makes a mistake but if we do it gets fixed.

Have a feedback thread on the biggest firearm site in the world with around 3100 replies and 65 pages long and with one exception on a guy whose trigger go broke shipping its 100% positive.
