A while back I caught a lot of flack for letting a mud dauber build a nest in my Ruger American Compact 223. After cleaning everything out it would not shoot a 12 inch group. After weighing several options and looking at barrel replacement from a outside source which turned out to be more than purchasing a new rifle I contacted Ruger. They said they would replace the barrel for $80 plus the shipping. They emailed me a shipping tag for UPS and said how to box it up. I did and sent it off. A few days later I tracked it and it was received by Ruger. I waited a couple of weeks and phoned Ruger to ask about the rifle. There was some confusion on the status and was told the dept that does the actual work would contact me with the status. A time went by and then I was phoned and was told there was a shortage of barrels but more would be arriving soon and I would be notified when that happened. A time went by and I was emailed that they decided my rifle could not be re barreled and they would send me a new rifle. They needed a FFL to send it to. I had to send a copy of the FFL license the address, phone number etc. and sign that they could destroy my rifle I had sent them. About 10 days later I was notified that my new rifle was sent and they paid for all the shipping. The only thing I had to pay for was the $15 FFL fee. Amazing, Ruger paid for everything including shipping and gave me a brand new Ruger American Compact 223 free. What a good Company.

Wow, very impressive. I had a Ruger 77/357 that would not feed. Turned out to be a magazine issue. The sent me a new magazine for free.

I was very impressed with the recall process that Ruger followed with my Mark IV pistol. They made it very easy to ship the firearm to them and added two new magazines in return for my inconvenience when they sent it back to me. And the folks at Henry sent me a new stock and forearm for free when I called to see if I could purchase a new recoil pad. Maybe in the back of my mind somewhere these two experiences, combined with an employee group buying the company back from investors, is what pushed me to recently purchase a new Savage.

Yes, something tells me that employees who "cling" to their firearms are far more likely to value their customers so greatly.

As long as you never need anything from Beretta you should be fine. I can’t even get things from them at full retail. It’s not worth it to them to import it no matter what I’m willing to pay. Yes, I know I’m beating a dead horse about a single incident but whatever. Lol

I've had fantastic luck with both Ruger and Beretta customer service. Needed some amount of help on a 22/45 MK III, AR-556, Tikka CTR, and Beretta AL2 shotgun. All 4 times - no charge, fantastic work.
