Any insights from the Shot Show? Are the thermal options staying static for 2020?

Pulsar is coming out with their "2" or "II" series that have a new thermal core that is going to give better temperature image range. This will be in current model styles.

I’ve got a new Trail 2 XQ50LRF on order, along with a few other items. My Apex went in for repair and was determined that they couldn’t repair it. Likely won’t have anything until summer, really hoping they send me a loaner in the meantime.

Pulsar is doing away with a few old ones and making tweaks within current lines. Thermion series will get an XQ sensor in 38 and 50mm. This will give about a 2x and a 3x base mag in those lines.

The Axion is getting rid of the XM38 and the XM30 is going to now be the XM30S, which will have an improved Sony display.

The Trail series is now discontinued with the exception of the LRF series.

All of the thermals in the XQ and XP lines will eventually get the gen 2 sensor. Those units with be the Helion 2 XP50 for example. The new core is more temperature sensitive. The temperature sensitive rating on current units is around 55-60 milikelvin or MK. The new units will be a 35 MK sensor. The lower the number the better. This will result in better detection and overall image quality. There's a few other tweaks as well. Better display in the series 2 units for example. New metal housing on the Trail 2 LRF.

AGM came out with a few things. A pretty decent 30hz 160 resolution monocular that'll run 500 bucks. Will sell lots of those I'm sure. Also their new Secutor series looks pretty good. 25, 50 and 75mm lens sizes in 384 resolution with onboard recording. Looks are similar to an Armasight Zeus.

Trijicon, no changes.

N-Vision Optics, no changes. Halo series is still less than a year old.

ATN, don't know, don't keep up with them.

FLIR, doesn't sell to the public anymore except for handhelds. no changes to those.

That's about all I looked at. We've already taken deposits on a ton of the new Pulsar on pre-orders. I think they're going to be really popular. You can visit our site and theres a few more details there under the pre-order listings. We haven't gotten the AGM stuff up yet for pre-order. Just pulsar.

Glad to answer any questions yall might have.

Thanks for the update, Myron. Interested in seeing reviews of the AGM monocular.
I’m trying to stave off my desire to upgrade to a Halo LR. May not be successful, though.

Check out the images from an Iray mini MH25

UNV will be selling at 4500 and the images look fantastic!

Bering Optics has its Hogster series “R” model is standalone rifle scope and “C” model is a scanner/clipon. Ranges from $ 2400-3600 depending on model and objective size

Luna Optics shows a Genesis series of scope - never heard of them or seen one in person - the mount looks like light duty equipment.

All this is added to what Myron already related

Agree on the IRAY. We'll be carrying it as well. Will be a great little spotter/head mount thermal. Image quality in initial videos looks outstanding.

Bering optics hogster looks decent. We're going to look into them further.

Can't speak on Luna optics. Haven't ever done any business with them.

Myron summed it up well.

Here are our SHOT Show updates from The Late Night Vision Show. Hans loves to find still images of me looking stupid to use as the thumbnail. He says I make it easy for him. laugh

ATN has a new thermal clip on coming out called TICO (thermal imaging clip on), a new monocular and a revamped digital night vision with fewer bells and whistles to keep the cost down. Most of the thermal stuff has a new 12 micron core being implemented.

You can look at their website to see what’s coming. Targeted for release this summer.
