That is a supressor screwed onto the end of his barrel.

I shot a lot of hogs back in the 90's with my Marlin .357 lever. Wish i still had that little gun, it sure was handy. I used the same load in it as what I carried in my pistols. Hornady 125 XTP over 15gr 2400.

Marlin has a short threaded model now with nice iron sites. Would be a nice hog gun, I may pick one up.

The 77 is handy though.
