Can anyone tell me how figure a asking price for full boxes of 12 gauge shells in original boxes. At least 50 years old in excellent condition. Thanks for any help

Switched to plastic in the 60's, I've still got some paper shells and some all brass.

All brass - still crimped?

I think these were about 66 to 67

00 Buck with the roll crimp and paper wad over the top. pop got them from a friend of his one the base. We were just starting to crane hunt and everybody was saying we needed 00 buck, switched the next year to BB's and 2's. Had several of the 00's left over. WWII left overs!

The most important thing is shot size.

Are they like the solid clear green colored plastic made by Wanda? I shot many a box of the 20 gauge in the mid to late 60's. I believe the 12 gauge were red color. All plastic, no brass.

I’ve got some of the old paper ones in 10ga. With high brass. I’ve got my Great Great Grandfathers Remington SxS 10 and actually took it on a THF duck and pheasant hunt about 10 years ago. I found some company on the east cost that made me a box of black powder shells for it after my smith said the gun was good to go. It was real cool to take pheasants with the same gun my family members had so many years ago. I have a video somewhere of me smoking a big ol rooster with that thing.

All the normal search engines dont work for ammo and guns , so your limited to gun auction sites. Tons of regular sites are anti gun and you cant even mention ammo of arms.

Why'd they quit making the all plastic? I've shot them before. That was a long tome ago. Never had any problem with them.

On pumps and autos it was common for an extractor to take a chunk out of the plastic rim and leave the hull stuck in the chamber.

My mom had a full choke 20 that I learned to dove hunt with. I remember going to Oshman's with my dad and he bought me a case of shells and a pair of green PVC plastic snake-bite leggings.

I shot that little gun, with those paper shells, for a couple of years, before I got a (used) 12 gauge 870 for Christmas.

17 years ago, my daughter shot a few hand thrown clays with that little shotgun and those paper shells...to my knowledge the only time she has fired a shotgun.

I've got about half a case of those paper shot-shells left...they are priceless to me...but I still shoot a couple occasionally.

I've got a granddaughter that i hope to take dove hunting for the first time in a couple of years...my mom's little pump 20 will be loaded with those paper shells.





For some reason it got dusty all of a sudden.

I had a small sack of those given to me in the 70's. He said no more, something like, "I wanda if this crap is going to ruin another hunt."

Supposedly they worked fine in about anything but the Remington 1100. Being gas operated the Reminton 1100s ripped the head off. About that time the Remington 1100 was "the auto to have." I had an 1100, but burned those up in an 870 on skeet.

Those would be hell to pick up....Mojo Sticks do not work on plastic.

I have about a half box of 12 Ga. They are red. Manufactured in Houston???
