Got calls from two landowners about pests. Both are repeat complaints. The first was beaver on a pond in the middle of a hay field. The beaver dam the runoff from the pond and then the pond swells and they can't get the tractor into the hay field. The second place is my landowner that has had a skunk population bloom this year. When the are in the distant field or woods, no problem, but these are all around his house. Chad at Custom Reloads of Dallas made up some Hornady V-Max 95 gr. ammo for my 6.5 Grendel. This bullet is great on skunks and apparently good on beaver. Previously, I had trouble with rounds like Hornady SST 123 not doing enough damage to the skunk and would have to shoot the skunk more than once to put it out of its misery. The V-Max seems to tear them apart. Sorry for the velocity typo. The velocity is 2739 and NOT 1749.
