You might try cleaning it real good with brake cleaner and mix up some original formula slow set JB weld. Put that into the buggered up hole, Clean that t55 torx bit with the break cleaner and then tap it lightly into the JB weld. Let it sit 24 hrs and then try to unscrew it. I don’t know for sure if this would work but i think it would be worth a try.

File a couple of flats on it and use vise grips.

All you need is a hammer and a sharp screwdriver....tap the edge and unscrew it. If you have a good metal chisel that works best but a screwdriver will do.

These would be my second choice. I have a set of them.
Never been to a camping world. I prefer Dick's to be honest.

I believe its a oil case. Would not be a good idea here I just welded nuts on three drain plugs on my backhoe. Front axle, transmission and rear axle. Worked like a charm.

You guys are awesome. It took some persuasion but I finally took a cutoff wheel to it and tried to notch it. Hammer & chiseled it. Got fed up with that and hit it with the wheel a few more times until I could weaken the head and break the tension on the threads. Yes lots of apprentice marks were made. It might be embarrassing but it's done. Thanks again for all of the tips and advice!

Funny thing about getting older: Your eyesight starts getting weaker but your ability to see through people's BS gets much better.

These would be my second choice. I have a set of them. Was going to be my suggestion as well, but John beat me to it. Great set of tool bits to have in your toolbox!!

I would try one of the extractors or mr lefty.
I wouldn't worry too much about the metal, while it would be my preference to keep it out as well, the fill hole goes into the pan and the fluid in the pan is fed through the filter before being pumped into the rest of the trans.
It's hell eatin em live
