That little heifer snapped at me. I had the Popeyes special for dinner tonight. I ended giving Muffin the thigh bone. She hid it. I started growling growling a dog. She ran to her hiding place and snapped at me. Do you're dogs hide things from you? What?

Our vet would come unwound if she thought we had ever given one of our dogs a chicken bone. She has horror stories about what chicken bones have done to a dogs digestive tract.

Muffin has lost most of her teeth. No worry.

Yes, I had a blond, long haired, weenie dog that I loved dearly. She died last year. Three or four months ago we bought new bed and mattresses. When we tore down the old bed, we found all kinds of candy wrappers, Kisses, and other kinds she had hidden, We still don't know how she got the candy. It was on a coffee table she couldn't get to, or so we thought. The candy had nothing to do with her demise.

This.

Absolute worst thing you can ever give to a dog, teeth or no teeth.

Bill, I was expecting different from a man who has been everywhere and done everything.

She has no back teeth. I have to chew some of her food for her. She has part of my breakfast taco each morning. I chew it first. She only eats kibble that has been softened with warm water.

I agree Bill. Find muffin some easier eating options.

But I have a Yorkie. She hides stuff. Growls at kids, but never at me.

Nugget won’t hide anything inside but when he gets something good, or has any size to it he runs out the doggie door to the backyard so he doesn’t get messed with. Usually bacon up

Haha nice dogs! My dog hides stuff around my place when we go to the country. Deer bones, hog bones, hotdogs the kids give him and other things he can't eat because he's full. Each time we go up he comes out of his hiding spot with things that the wild animals haven't taken yet. He had a ham bone that he would chew on for months just hiding it in a different place each trip. If he sees you watching him hide something he'll dig it up and move it. He's 13 now and eats whatever he wants.

Sometimes it's hard being me! But somebody has to do it.

Dogs and bones....when I used to clean deer at my brother’s place in the country, I’d toss scraps and bones to my brothers big old dogs. They’d eat some, and bury the rest, though they never buried it well. My Sister in Law would gripe about the smell and the bones, saying it looked like a Viking battlefield in her yard. It never occurred to me that the dogs may have buried the bones because they had few or no teeth.

Made a batch of Venison stock n December. After roasting and stewing in the stock for about eight hours I let a leg bone cool down then cut the knuckles off of it and gave them to the dogs outside.
The doxie went to town on his but the rat terrier was afraid of hers. I saw the doxie working on one of them last weekend, don't know where he keeps it.

In the late '80s early '90s my Brother had a Springer Spaniel. Every year at Christmas we would go to the ranch and do a standing rib roast. We would clean up a couple rib bones and give them to the dogs. That Springer was a terror.

I gave my Lab a couple rib bones once. The dumb azz swallowed them lengthwise and was waiting for more. Never had and in issue so they must have passed. NO MORE BONES

I had a dog in high school that would snatch up an ice cube if you dropped one making your iced tea. Sometimes he'd hide it and get all bent out of shape when he went back for it a few hours later and it was gone.
