Had you ordered them when you made the first post, they would be showing up by tomorrow afternoon.

Im just happy that ordering bullets has no hazmat fee.
We easily forget with amazon etc. but getting that box of bullets to your door for $7 and change is pretty darn impressive to me. You would spend a good bit of that driving to a store that wasn't even that far away.

I've just had such good luck with Hornady that I'd be hard-pressed to go with anything else until I saw that Hornady didn't work the way I wanted first.
I've had good luck with Southwest Ammo in Mesquite as a local source for reloading supplies. Might check with them if you really do want to shop local. They'll usually answer the phone and put items on hold if you want to come pick up.

My experience running bergers vs hornady in other weight ranges and also other calibers is that Berger will almost always have less deviation in group size at distance. That's not to say the 88 don't because I've ran a lot and they are solid but occasionally you get a flyer that's not warranted where as Berger seems far more consistent across the spectrum. Now if they are worth the extra coin is up to you.

Now if they are worth the extra coin is up to you. It's called consistency bullet to bullet. Hornady has gotten LOTS better but they aren't a Berger.....yet. I've read and seen Hornady's pencil enough that I think there are better hunting options. I'll also say if you like running a bullet through the shoulder and tearing up meat...don't pick Berger. They are made to slide in behind a shoulder. Also, knowing Buzz....I bet he rarely takes a shot at an animal that BC would play a factor in you hitting or missing. But a more important question...Buzz - you have read and heard how nasty the 80.5 is on stuff, why are you looking else where? Would they not shoot in your gun?

Buzzsaw, not to hi-jack your thread, but I'm in the process of having a barrel made for a 22 Creedmore. All my reloading books are outdated. Guess I need to get some new ones huh?

Buzz shoots prairie dogs in the panhandle winds. I've got that t-shirt. It takes as high of every factor as you can get, weight, MV, BC if you don't want to sit there waiting on the close ones to pop back out of their mound.

I've heard the 95 are finicky. I've ran a pretty decent amount of 88's and 90gr Berger vld with a great amount of success.

You waited too long and I started assembling my own. I think I have 4 under my belt at this point. I don't have the need for your Seekins that I once did...sorry. The one that was tempting to me was the 223...I cannot believe you sold that rifle I almost bought it but I have a Tikka .223 Varmint 1:8 that I rarely shoot and should sell...that kept me from buying yours. I can't wait to see what all this purging is replaced with
