I did Jamaica 20 years ago...I’d look elsewhere If I ever go again Turks & Caicos will most likely be our destination...

Antigua is pretty neat little island, we stayed on the Caribbean side and water was calm as can be.

Budget does make a big difference. The Rosewood Resorts on Virgin Gorda and St John are nice, but pricey. I'd start by looking at who has direct flights out of your airport of choice. Layovers and plane changes suck.

Cayman is easy. Direct flights from DFW and Houston.
Hotels 1. Sea fire 2. Westin 3. Ritz. Beach too crowded.
Condos 1. Caribbean club 2. Beachcomber 3. Meridien.
If you have a lower budget there are also nice options.

Lots of good choices with direct flights out of DFW but would agree on figuring out a budget first. Also are you looking for all inclusive, adults only, swimmable beaches, particular excursions or maybe a cruise? We’ve gone to Costa Rica, Dominican Republic and all up and down the Mexican Riviera including Cozumel and they all have their perks just really depends on what you are looking for. Costa Rica has probably been our favorite so far.

Cayman is a good choice. Easy to get to. Short flight from DFW or Houston. Lots of options as listed above. Flights are reasonable although I think Cayman Air stopped flying out of DFW. I think American is an option.

You are wasting your money going to Cayman if you don't snorkel. Its like looking through air.

Everyone goes tot the Caribbean - think outside the box:
Cawker CIty, KS - World's largest Ball of Twine would be nice.
Boise City, OK - only continental US City to be bombed during WWII - if you really want to splurge.
Make a long weekend and go by Alabaster Caverns in Freedom, OK and the World's Largest Hand Dug Well in Greensburg, KS (the town almost leveled by an EF-5 tornado in 2007) if you want to impress her.
You can thank me later.
