I hope we never find one or evidence of one. I walk around way too much at night without a flashlight to have chit like that out and about!

200 mile range. I'd bet that you have had or currently have them on your property.

Wondering if that is really accurate. Seems mighty big if abundant food and water are near.

Oh they're out there LOL. We saw a mother with 2 cubs on our place in SE Duval, Concepcion/Rios - and I've seen big lion tracks there before that.

That high rack would not mean chit if they want up there. Just saying bolt

Saw the story - the area where shot is approximately 30 miles from where I hunted for many years, and about 65 miles from my place in Brown County. I have never seen a mountain lion in the wild, and all info 3rd hand, but was told a cub was hit on a FM road about 3 miles from my place a few weeks ago. A neighbor swears he drove into his ranch and had two sitting on the road as he turned a corner near his house. And I believe there were reports of a ML on trail cam in Mills County a year or two ago.

They are out there - as more confirmed and if the range is as broad as reported, I am starting to believe the reports I keep hearing in my vicinity. Good news - they are pretty elusive and seem to avoid human contact when possible.

No you're not. There are one maybe two on the place we hunt, and we consider them the hog control team. Never had the desire to shoot one.

I have zero issues with those that shoot cougars, but for me, probably not happening unless I felt a threat. Just me, and to each his own, but I have no interest in hunting bears, cats, etc. Again, if a threat, different story.

Also, if I shot one, my wife would REALLY be ticked at me...
