Nobody saw that coming. How do you come up with 1000 points? I'm showing it closed Friday 384 points off its all-time high. A little early to proclaim the coronavirus a Black Swan event.Granted the futures look dismal this morning.Yikes.

Futures off DOW<440> S&P<47>this morning and falling.
I have a good amount of dry powder I have been waiting for a pull back. Looks like this is it. Well, maybe let it drop 5%.

The market was due for,and needs a correction anyway.

My brother is recently retired and locked in his portfolio about 8 months ago. Said he couldn’t sleep well watching the market every day. Just knew the market would slide any day. Now that he’s locked in, he watches the market every day hoping the market slides to validate his decision. I believe a lot of folks do the same thing.

The market has added a risk premium to the required rate of return because it doesn't know how to evaluate the Corona virus risk. It might take a month or two to properly measure what the risk truly is in the mean time there will be downward pressure on the market.
