Any predictions on what your last bird of this season will be?

I’m quite confident mine will be a wood duck, we have seen very few other ducks this year and we don’t have the mud for snipe this year.

A pair of high and fast flying ringed necked ducks.

I love shooting them bastards

actually, prolly a few snipe. I have been seeing a good amount in this new mud and mild cold fronts.
Last sunday, I saw 20 or so on the wet wheat-fields. They are in the fields.

I’m gonna guess either a mallard or canvasback. Seen a lot of both in the last week at our lease in Oklahoma

Hopefully a mallard. Should get a woodie limit, and then hope it's followed by 3 greenies.

Regular duck season, probably a Blue Wing Teal or Gadwall.

But I plan to hunt the Light Goose Conservation Order season so hopefully a snow goose!

Gadwall or wigeon for me. Plan on hunting tank at the deer lease on last day of season. It was loaded with gadwall and wigeon last weekend when I stopped by to look.

Right now it's a drake bufflehead, but IF I can get out one more time I'm fairly certain I'll keep it classy and finish strong with a spoonie.

Do all of the rehab that you can and you will be back up to speed, I had a bi-lateral and was back at work after only a month. Still had to take it easy but now I can walk 12 miles turkey hunting like I used to.

Them grackles are so much fun to shoot. Huge flocks with nr 9 and make it rain.

Teal or Pinnie...but probably nada as season has been really slow. Last year our potshooters hunting group got 416 ducks....this year at 95...go figure...

My man! What a solid finish that would be.

Well I was able to sneak away one last time this morning, and stayed true to my colors...Spoonbill hen just in case you were wondering!

If my hunt tomorrow is anything like today it will be a spoony. 4 man limit of nothing but spoonies.

If the trigger is gold, the birds will fold.

Last shot of the season was a dadgum blackjack. Folded his [censored] though.

Slow day in Okiehoma, low clouds no wind. Oh well until next year !

It was a wigeon...

We killed 21 wigeon on closing weekend out of 29 birds killed.

Much to my surprise, my last duck was a redhead drake. I was nowhere near the coast and usually only see them early season. Actually had two fights, but it may have been a repeat flyby. Not the sharpest tools in the shed.

Not to my surprise my last duck was a pintail. I knew we'd be covered up with them so I waited till I got one close enough to catch, but he ended up bouncing out of the blind. It was the year of the pintail for me. [Linked Image]
