Bucket list hunt! Was searching for 5 days and finally got my cat. Toughest hunt I have ever been on

Me and my buddy booked through cabelas hunts. They set us up with a guy named Marshall in lander Wyoming. I believe his outfitter name was 5 Star expeditions. It’s been a long 5 days and my buddy I came with is still hunting his. There has not been any fresh snow so it has taken a little longer. We got on the track and Marshall let three hounds out. They chased the cat about 7 miles and lost the track in the cliffs. He had to climb down a cliff to get one of his dogs and when he was walking back there was a cat track in his track. The lion was held up somewhere in the cliff and snuck out while he was getting his dog. Released the dogs again and they had him in a tree in 15 minutes. Had to walk in waist high snow to get to the tree. Was very rough and I was pretty worn out when we got to the tree. One of his dogs was about 25 ft up in the air on a branch and pushed the cat to jump as soon as we got there. They tree’d it again another 100 yards away. If it’s your dream hunt I can say seeing them up there when you walk up is the most amazing thing you have ever seen. Whole hunt start to finish from when the dogs were let out was about 6 hours. It was absolutely the hardest hunt I have ever done and if the cat would have jumped again I don’t think I could have made it much further. I am a big guy but pushing through waist high snow is one of the hardest things I have ever done. When you see the dogs it will make you think how they can tree a cat being so little but those guys are tough as nails. His dog Missy has tree’d 168 cats.

Just curious what you shot it with?

Congratulations!!!! This is the greatest hunt in North America. I hunted the Navajo Nation the week before last and when I arrived found that they had closed all the hunting units that I normally hunt. I ended up hunting way west in Unit 7 but did not cut a big track. Dogs worked hard and did have a great bobcat race.
