The sink in the kitchen always takes forever to get the hit water from the tank that is half way across the house.
Thinking of installing a 110v under sink tankless. Anyone have one? Can it be installed in the hot water side to take up the slack until the hot water makes its way to the faucet?

We have one, but it has it's own faucet.

I had one in an apartment I lived in, I liked it. It also fed into the dishwasher so think about that too.

Never seen one in that set up. I have seen them in many facility locations. They work well for sinks.
I owned a home with master bath across house. Considered added in a 120 volt tankless in line as you described. But, sold the home before I could try it.
If yours is as bad as mine was, worth the a try.
Like Hop said. Not cheap.
If the 2nd amendment was written just to include guns for hunting, why is there not an amendment to protect fishing poles?

I have a pump that we push a button and it draws from the hot side and pushes into the cold side until the hot water side reaches temp. No water wasted as it is just taking from the hot water heater and pushing back into the cold side of the heater. Cheap and easy to install.

we had some set up at Addison airport in various office suites that we leased:
For a 3kw tankless heater:
The working current needs to be: 30A-32A, so the 10th wire gauge and 32amp circuit breaker are required. Make sure your circuit breaker can withstand 30 amps of electricity, otherwise it won't heat up and don't work.
check current required before you buy - it will probably exceed any 20amp circuit existing in your house or if it is 20amps or below make sure its a separate circuit/breaker just for the tankless heater

Buy a grundfos comfort system from a local wholesale supplier. Pump mounts at the heater, crossover tee will mount at the furthest fixture from said water heater. You can add extra tees if you have a kitchen island, or the water heater is in the middle of the home....i.e. one tee on each end of the house.
If you have a tankless this will not work....let us know.

I installed one five years ago when I replaced/relocated two tanked nat gas with a pair of nat gas tankless.
The headofthehousehold remarked that the kitchen sink took longer to deliver hot water than it did before...… I did relocate that tankless farther away due to venting needs.
Did feed the elec 2.5 gal Stiebel Eltron with tankless hot water line...….works great and hard to tell it has had much impact on electric use.... know it does but seemingly not too great to make her happy.

Thanks. Will have to also look into the recirculation pump system as well.
Was thinking a tankless under the sink would be easier but a recirculating system might be more efficient.
