Recently purchased a T/c Encore rifle, my question is, how can I tell if the barrel is a stainless or just the blue carbon with the Weathershield? I have look at the T/C website but really no information there. Thanks Daniel

wp75169, Do you have an Encore barrel that YOU KNOW is stainless? Does the magnet stick to it? Some so called stainless items have so little actual stainless in them that a magnet will stick to them. Thanks Daniel

No sir I do not. That’s just what popped into my head when I read stainless vs carbon.

The magnet does work but it does require the item have a certain amount of stainless. What that amount is I don't have a clue. Thanks Daniel

Generally the Weathershield barrels are 26 inches long, the Stainless are 28 inches long.

That would be the Weathershield model.
