Nice buck and very cool tailgate but don't try that with a trailer hitch in!!  Agree on both, bad design by Chevy.

What did you find out about the clearance of the hitch with the tailgate down There isn't any. You can't open that portion with a hitch in the receiver. Yup. A buddy of mine found that out the day after he bought his truck. Scratched that nice pretty new tailgate up on his hitch. Nice buck btw!

That tailgate should make it easier to push the truck out of the way when it breaks down.
