Ok, I want to start this off by saying this is not a bitter post, but this is also a serious post. No sour grapes here, so please don’t go down that path, it isn’t necessary.

There’s video of OBJ handing several LSU players money after the championship game, and initially LSU blew this off by saying the money was fake money. However, Joe Burrough goes on some internet video today or yesterday and says “no it was real money, I am no longer a student athlete so I don’t care”

Now LSU is back walking their initial statement and saying they are looking into the possibility the money was real.

What comes of this?

Espn is covering this story, not a scam or hearsay story.

The question is do people get suspended for next year (most likely by a long shot) or do they punish the kids involved this year and vacate the game (I say no way that happens)

Clearly everyone associated with OSU didn’t pay much attention to Burrow when he was on their roster

Nothing that happens now will bring the championship to Ohio State. It’s over, and the Buckeyes tied for third. Even worse for the Buckeyes is that Trevor Lawrence will be back at Clemson next year, and I expect they will be the champs.

That was a "look at me" event orchestrated by Odell Beckham. He should be banned from any LSU event in the future.

This exactly what’s wrong with the NCAA, they give all kinds of free cheap arse trinkets and clothing f(that you couldn’t trade for a hot dog) from a bowl sponsor who is getting a 10-1 ROI, but someone hands a minute amount of real or fake money to kid and now those kids are ineligible, while NCAA pays out huge bonuses to staff...

Burrow said it was cash, not US dollars, which might be semantics, but could make a difference. It’s been a thing since it happened that night and was caught on camera. Some argued it was clearly fake money, but no one has said definitively yet. I initially assumed it was guys who were graduating or otherwise had payed their last game for sure.

OBJ is a total idiot. He has already been classified as a donor because he has given the school/team money in the past. OBJ is such a diva and look-at-me type of guy I can’t stand it. He might end up getting his alma mater punished for some clout.

The only players it impacts are those that are planning to be there next year. Burrow and all the other guys leaving can take all the coin they can hold now.

Are we going to discuss them smoking cigars in a non-smoking area next?
