Yes. I had to try on brisket. There were no left overs! grin and all the beer was gone. 4 cases of assorted brands at this byob bbq.

Yes. Rubbed dry onto an untrimmed brisket and smoked for 14 hours at between 225 degrees. The spice does penetrate about 1/4" into the meat. enough that it seems the whole thing has a mild kick.

we always joke about making up some grape jelly and cayenne rubbed ribs and not telling anybody before they come over; haven't stooped that low yet
