Had a wildlife manager I met in Breckenridge tell me yes it is the real deal. Can be a game changer when used in your feeder pens. None of the feed stores around there carry it though. Said it doesn't sell.

I put out a few sacks in October. It's still there.

I bought two bags back in early October and split one at 3 bow blinds. It was still on the ground last week. I put the other one in the barn and the rats/mice chewed on hole in the bag and never touched it again.

Got a friend who swears by it, but said if it gets wet, it will stink and nothing will touch it. Myself, I have never tried it and after reading some of these post, don't think I ever will.

I'm wondering if it is like protein. They only hit the protein feeder when they need it and not year round. Since I have 2 sacks left I may put it out when they start hitting the protein feeder. I'll keep ya'll posted.

We dont keep it out because it cakes up so bad and there really isnt a feeder that can feed it.. BUT we use it as a attractant to bow hunt over..Our deer love it..Esp during the rut.. they will come by several times a night to feed on it... we just cut the top open and drag the bag about 10 feet..width of the bag...It is primarily a horse supplement so we ask our feed store guy to bring it in certain times of the year...if you feed it in a trough make sure the trough is well covered...moisture is its enemy/..

Using it as an attractant was what got me to get some. Before I built the trough I tried the sprinkle some on the ground approach. I made a line between my bow stand and the trail the deer use. They ate a little the first morning and never touched it again. I built a trough the next day and put it where the corn feeder would throw corn in it. They picked the corn out and so did the coons. It didn't rain for 2 weeks and the nose prints in the bran was from them getting the corn out of it. It finally rained and the top caked up. I thought they were starting to use it but I think the coons started bathing in it. .

The deer tear it up in my area (S.E. Louisiana). They won't hit it well if it's new to them. Mix it 50/50 with corn the first time out. Once they know what it is it goes fast.

They really go for it at my place South of Bowie. With the lousy season I just had can't believe I didn't try it.
