So I have a French door refrigerator. The feeder held temp fine but the fridge went up into the 50s. The meat tray that has its own thermo stayed cold. Doubt it’s the motor since everything else stayed cold. After a day it went back down to normal temps.

Any ideas from the experts?

I wouldn't study about it if it went back down to normal. I'd study about it tomorrow and tomorrow in another day.

It's French.

It works when it wants to.

(Sorry, I have done some work in France.)

May be some truth to that...

If the freezer is good, the system is good. Is there a fan moving air from freezer to fridge?

Did that a few months ago. Man the dust was caked in there.

That’s what I was thinking but wasn’t sure if I needed to check something else...not sure why the fan would some of the time

It could also be the defrost timer.

I was having the same problem , the repair guy said I did not have a defrost timer , that was handled by the mother board,
$400 l , the problem resurfaced after a few months. When the temp would get to 50 ( this would happen every week or 3 ) , I could unplug for a few seconds. , and within a few hours I was back to 36 or so. Finally got tired of jacking with it , replaced it.

Good luck
