Mako, last year when the creek was too high to cross me and my FIL we’re sitting at the front porch of the cabin and i shot a cull buck. He still gives me he!! For shooting a deer at camp. Sometimes the deer show where you would least expect them.
Guess you proved than you can get one sitting on the porch
I was looking for a 2 or 3 year old Axis buck. Saw a Axis doe but I don't like shooting them. I will get one yet. Saw about 15 young Bucks and Does this morning driving but could not get a shot.
Took the crossbow to a ground blind that sits on some trail last night. Had four does come in and made a perfect shot on the biggest one. Made about a 100 yard tracking job in the dark and recovered her.

Congratulations.

Awesome, nice work... I have one tag left, I may go next weekend and try for some summer sausage meat.
Was about to head out when our lease "boss" decided to let some predator hunters come out this weekend since he thought nobody would be out due to rains yesterday. The predator hunters are welcome after deer season per agreement with landowner - upon notice. Bad executive decision on his part.

To Halfadozen, I agree 100%. Making an assumption, and not following the lease agreement, are not a good idea. The rules become meaningless, and the lease manager loses credibility, if they are not followed. No one wins (long term) when an "exception" is made.
We were in stand last night didnt see a thing and neither did other guy. Nothing this morning either. Crazy. Luckily kid got a doe a few weeks ago. Buddy has same thing at his place. My guess is deer moved to wheat that is around us.

Spot on sir.
