The folks in Starkvegas badly need coach who hates to lose and doesn't care for popularity contests.
Like any of the lower-tier programs in the SEC, recruiting will be a challenge. Still, both Mullen and Sherrill stole their share of wins with the talent they could lure and coach up.
If Mike wanted a program where 7-4 or 8-3 were considered good seasons, he found it.

His coaching style doesn’t lend much to fundamentals and nor discipline. He will never be a play off contender
You have to be able to beat the option if you are going to win titles. If you can’t beat the option you can’t control the clock and the shoot out mentality gets beat.

Leach is nuts but a hellava coach. He'll be kicking most of the big boys butts in a couple years. As some other nut says,, "You can take that to the bank"

As a MSU alum, I’m pumped. We needed a coach that will get fans excited. JoMo wasn’t ready to coach the sec.

Dave Steckel, who was fired at Missouri State as the HC, was the DC at Missouri when they won a couple of division titles, he might be a possibility.
