This next week from Wednesday - Sunday I will be going down to Dilley and hunting on a friends personal 300 acres property.
Just curious with season coming to an end soon what’s going on in that part of the state with whitetail?
Looks to be a full moon by next weekend.

Still should be fun!

We hunted NW of Dilley for years and the rut usually kicked off around Dec. 13 every year. You might see some late rut activity but hunting on a full moon was pretty much a bust for us. However, the best buck I shot there was during a full moon at 2:00 in the afternoon. One thing about that country is the fact that you never know what you might see.

In the end, it's not the years in your life that count, it's the life in your years.

Lot of busted up headgear.

Sometimes it's hard being me! But somebody has to do it.

I was 30 miles north of Laredo last weekend and we saw lots of deer. Several of the bucks were still chasing does. I know Dilley is further north but I suspect they may be acting the same there too. Good luck!
