Saw an article today about this buck taken recently in KS by a bowhunter. They said it took a couple of B&C scorers over 5 hr to get a final score of over 321. It will now go to a full panel of scorers to verify it. Buck of a lifetime.

What a freak. The amount of nutrition it must have taken to grow that much antler is incredible.

Why just on one side? Could it have been due to injury? WOW

I am guessing it had an injury or missing testicle ... years ago, one of the hunters on my dad's lease shot a buck with one side freaky (not anywhere near as big as this one by a long shot) and the other side 5 symmetric points (like a 10 point would have). Upon field dressing, found a large catcus thorn in one of the testis that appeared to have been there a long time, extremely swollen. Another one with both sides freaky was missing both testicles, looked like they had been ripped off (fence?) and had healed, but looked like an uprooted cedar stump.

that is a heck of a deer pictured!
