Has anyone hunted WIHA/WMA in the Smoky Hills, South Central Prairies, or Southern High Plains of Kansas this year? I’d like to head up there in hopes of shooting a mixed bag of pheasants and quail. I was just wondering if anybody had any good experiences in any of those areas this season.

Birds are tough in Oklahoma and Texas this year and was thinking it would be worth a trip to KS.

In dog beers, I've only had one.

I am going to be up in SW Kansas for the first time next weekend. We are staying in Liberal and hunting WIHA in that part of the state. When are you going?

I was thinking maybe next weekend or thereafter but, I am kind of hesitant about taking the time off and driving all the way up there if the birds are about the same as they are here in Texas and Oklahoma.
